From Highveld, take the N2 highway heading south towards Durban. Continue on the N2 for approximately 60 kilometers. Take the exit toward the R66 toward Mtunzini. After exiting, follow the R66 for about 10 kilometers. When you reach Mtunzini, follow the signs to Umlalazi Nature Reserve, which will be on your left. The entrance to the reserve is well-marked. Be prepared for a small entrance fee, which is usually around R50 per vehicle.

Start by taking a local taxi or bus from Highveld to Mtunzini. The trip can take about 1.5 to 2 hours depending on traffic. Once you arrive in Mtunzini, you can either walk or take a local taxi to Umlalazi Nature Reserve, which is approximately 5 kilometers from the town center. Make sure to check the bus or taxi schedules in advance, as they may not run frequently.
