If you're driving from any town in the Lowveld region, head towards the N4 national road. From towns like Nelspruit or White River, you can take the R40 to join the N4. Follow the N4 eastbound towards Mozambique. After approximately 60 km, take the exit for the R538 towards the Paul Kruger Gate (the most popular entry point). Follow the R538 for about 10 km until you reach the park entrance. Note that there is an entrance fee of approximately R440 per adult (South African Rand) which can be paid in cash or by card.

  • Public Transportation

For those using public transport, take a bus from Nelspruit to Hazyview, which is the nearest town to the park. Several companies operate this route, and the journey takes about 1-1.5 hours. From Hazyview, you can catch a shuttle service or arrange for a taxi to take you to the Paul Kruger Gate, which is about 15 km away. Be prepared to pay for the shuttle/taxi which can cost around R200-300. Once at the gate, remember that the entrance fee is approximately R440 per adult.

  • Guided Tour

If you prefer a more organized experience, consider booking a guided tour from towns like Nelspruit or Hazyview. Many tour operators offer packages that include transport, entrance fees, and a guided safari experience. Prices vary, but expect to pay around R1,200 to R2,500 per person depending on the length and inclusivity of the tour. This option is great for those who want a comprehensive experience without the hassle of navigating the park on their own.
