From places like Hermanus or Swellendam, take the N2 highway and follow the signs for R319 towards Bredasdorp. Drive for approximately 30 kilometers until you reach the turn-off for the R319. Once on the R319, continue for about 20 kilometers until you see the signs for De Hoop Nature Reserve. Turn left onto the gravel road leading to the entrance of the reserve, which is approximately 10 kilometers from the main road. Please note that there may be a conservation fee to enter the reserve, which can vary, so be prepared for this cost.

• Public Transport

  To reach De Hoop Nature Reserve via public transport, you will need to take a bus from major towns like Hermanus or Swellendam to Bredasdorp. From Bredasdorp, you can arrange for a local taxi or shuttle service to take you directly to the reserve, as public transport does not go all the way there.
