Getting There

• Car

  If you are traveling by car, start your journey from the nearest entry point to Table Mountain National Park. Head towards the main road leading to Cape Town, following signs for the N1 highway. Once on the N1, take the exit towards the M3 and follow the signs for 'Cape Town City Centre'. Continue on the M3 until you reach the intersection with the N2. Merge onto the N2 and take the exit for 'Cape Town International Convention Centre'. As you approach the city center, keep an eye out for Helen Suzman Blvd. The Foreshore Freeway Bridge will be at the intersection of Helen Suzman Blvd and the N1. Parking is available nearby, but be sure to check for any parking fees that may apply.

• Public Transportation

  For those using public transportation, start by taking the MyCiTi bus service from any point within Table Mountain National Park to the Civic Centre station. This bus service is reliable and offers routes through the city. From Civic Centre, transfer to the MyCiTi route that heads towards the V&A Waterfront. Alight at the stop for the Cape Town International Convention Centre. From there, it is a short walk to the Foreshore Freeway Bridge, located on Helen Suzman Blvd. Keep in mind that a myconnect card will be required for travel and can be purchased at any MyCiTi station, with initial costs around ZAR 35, plus the fare for your journey.

• Walking

  If you are already close to the city center and prefer walking, from the Cape Town International Convention Centre, head north on Convention Square towards the intersection with Helen Suzman Blvd. Turn left onto Helen Suzman Blvd, and you will see the Foreshore Freeway Bridge ahead. This walk is approximately 1.5 km and should take around 15-20 minutes. Make sure to wear comfortable shoes and stay hydrated, especially during warmer months.
