If you're traveling by car and already in the Wild Coast area, head towards the N2 highway. Depending on your starting point, take the N2 South towards Umtata. After approximately 50 kilometers, take the exit toward the Ntlaza Road (R61) exit. Continue on R61 for about 20 kilometers until you reach the D408 Table Mountain Road. Turn onto D408; Cumberland Nature Reserve will be on your left after about 5 kilometers. Ensure you have a GPS or map for specific turns.

For those relying on public transportation, start by taking a bus or taxi from your location in Wild Coast to the nearest major town, such as Mthatha. From Mthatha, you can catch a local taxi to Umtata, and then look for a minibus taxi heading towards the Ntlaza area. Make sure to inform the driver you are heading to Cumberland Nature Reserve. You will need to walk approximately 5 kilometers from the nearest drop-off point on D408 Table Mountain Road to reach the reserve.
