Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Charles Street. Turn left onto Charles Street and keep going until you reach the Beaufort River. Cross the bridge onto Lady's Island. After crossing, turn right onto Sea Island Parkway (US-21). Follow this road until you reach the traffic light at the intersection with SC-802. Turn left onto SC-802 and continue until you reach the entrance of Fort Screven on Tybee Island. Battery Garland will be on your right as you enter the fort.

    From the center of Beaufort, start at the Henry C. Chambers Waterfront Park. Head east on Bay Street, and when you get to the end, turn left onto Charles Street. Walk straight until you reach the bridge over the Beaufort River. Cross the bridge and continue onto Lady's Island. Once on Lady's Island, follow the walkway along Sea Island Parkway (US-21). When you reach the traffic light at the intersection with SC-802, cross carefully and turn left. Continue walking along SC-802 until you reach Tybee Island. Look for signs for Fort Screven, where Battery Garland is located on your right.
