There is no entry fee for the fort area, but parking may incur a fee depending on the location you choose.

To reach Fort Screven using public transportation, take the Chatham Area Transit (CAT) route 14 from downtown Savannah to Tybee Island. The bus will take you to the island, where you can get off at the nearest stop to Fort Screven. From there, it’s about a 15-minute walk to Meddin Dr. Please check the current bus schedule and fares on the CAT website, as there may be a small cost for the bus ride.
