Car
If you're traveling by car, start from the center of Charleston. Head northeast on US-17 N towards Mount Pleasant. After about 6 miles, take the exit for SC-703 E towards Sullivan's Island. Continue on SC-703 E, which will take you directly onto Sullivan's Island. Once on the island, turn left onto Ion Ave. Follow Ion Ave until you reach the Sullivan's Island Lighthouse at 1815 Ion Ave. Parking is available nearby but may be limited during peak tourist hours.

Public Transportation
For public transportation, catch the CARTA bus #40 from downtown Charleston towards Mount Pleasant. This bus runs regularly and will take you close to Sullivan's Island. Get off at the stop near the intersection of SC-703 E and Middle St. From there, it's about a 1-mile walk to the lighthouse. Head east on Middle St, then turn left on Ion Ave. Follow Ion Ave until you reach the lighthouse. Please note that the bus fare is $2.00 per trip.

If you're an avid cyclist, consider biking to Sullivan's Island. From downtown Charleston, you can bike along the beautiful coastline towards the island. Follow the bike-friendly routes to SC-703 E.
