Public Transport
Start at the Charleston Visitor Center located at 375 Meeting St, Charleston, SC 29403. From there, take the CARTA bus route 10 (Cannon Street) towards Folly Beach. The bus will take you to Folly Beach, and the ride will take about 30 minutes. Once you arrive at the Folly Beach terminal, you will need to walk to the beach. Head southeast on E Ashley Ave towards the coast, and you will reach the beach area in approximately 5–10 minutes.

Walking
Once you are on Folly Beach, walk along the beach towards the Morris Island Lighthouse. The lighthouse is located about 1.5 miles away from the Folly Beach Pier. You can either walk directly along the beach or take the path along E Ashley Ave. Keep an eye out for the lighthouse, which will be visible from the beach as you approach it. The walk should take approximately 30–40 minutes depending on your pace.

If you prefer to cycle, there are bike rental shops available on Folly Beach. Rent a bike at one of these locations, such as 'Folly Beach Rentals' at 16 Center St, Folly Beach, SC 29439. After renting a bike, head southeast on E Ashley Ave towards the beach. You can ride along the beach or on the designated bike paths towards the Morris Island Lighthouse. The bike ride will take about 15–20 minutes from Folly Beach.
