You can catch the Bus Route 10 (Savannah Highway) at the stop on King St. and Market St. After boarding, stay on the bus for about 30 minutes until you reach the stop at 'Savannah Hwy & Main Rd'. From there, transfer to Bus Route 31 (Johns Island) towards 'Johns Island'. Ride this bus for approximately 20 minutes until you get off at the 'Angel Oak Tree' stop. The tree will be within walking distance from the bus stop. The total journey might take around 1 hour depending on waiting times and bus schedules.

Start your journey by renting a bicycle from one of the bike rental shops in downtown Charleston. Begin your ride by heading south on King St. toward Broad St. Continue straight until you reach the waterfront. Follow the waterfront trail until you reach the intersection with Meeting St. Turn left onto Meeting St. and follow it until you reach the intersection with Folly Rd. Take a right onto Folly Rd, which will eventually merge into Savannah Hwy. Continue on Savannah Hwy for about 5 miles. You will see signs for the Angel Oak Tree. The tree is located at 3688 Angel Oak Rd, Johns Island. This route will take roughly 30-40 minutes, depending on your cycling speed.

If you are feeling adventurous and want to walk, you can start from downtown Charleston. Begin at the Battery Park and walk along East Bay St. towards the south. Continue until you reach the intersection with Broad St. Here, you will take a left onto Broad St. and walk until you reach Meeting St. Turn right onto Meeting St. and proceed straight until you reach Folly Rd. From Folly Rd, you will continue south until you reach Savannah Hwy. Once you reach Savannah Hwy, turn left and walk for about 5 miles. You will eventually reach the Angel Oak Tree at 3688 Angel Oak Rd. This is quite a long walk (approximately 2 hours), so ensure you wear comfortable shoes and stay hydrated.
