Stay on the bus for approximately 30 minutes until you reach the stop at the intersection of Folly Road and Secessionville Boulevard. Alight at this stop and walk southeast on Secessionville Boulevard for about 0.5 miles. You will arrive at Secessionville Historic District.

If you're up for a ride, rent a bicycle from one of the local rental shops in downtown Charleston. Start your journey by heading southeast on East Bay Street, then follow the signs toward James Island. You'll be biking along Folly Road for about 4 miles. Upon reaching Secessionville Boulevard, turn left and continue for about 0.5 miles to reach the Secessionville Historic District.

For those who enjoy walking, start from Marion Square in downtown Charleston. Walk south towards King Street and continue until you reach the intersection with Broad Street. Turn left on Broad Street and then right onto East Bay Street. Follow East Bay Street until you reach the waterfront and continue along the path toward the James Island Connector. From there, it is best to take a bus or bicycle as it’s about 5 miles to Secessionville Historic District and walking may take too long.
