Getting There

  • Car

    If you are driving within Congaree National Park, start at the Harry Hampton Visitor Center located at 100 National Park Rd, Hopkins, SC 29061. From the visitor center, head south on National Park Rd. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Cedar Creek Rd. Turn right onto Cedar Creek Rd. Follow Cedar Creek Rd for about 3 miles until you see the sign for Bluff Campground on your left. This route is well-marked, and parking is available at the campground.

  • Hiking

    For those who prefer to hike, you can reach Bluff Campground via the Oakridge Trail. Starting from the visitor center, take the Oakridge Trail which is approximately a 1.5-mile hike. The trailhead is located behind the visitor center. Follow the trail through the scenic park until you arrive at Bluff Campground. This is a pleasant hike, but ensure you wear appropriate hiking shoes and carry water. The campground is located at the end of the trail.
