From Congaree National Park, exit the park via the main entrance and turn right onto SC-48 W. Follow SC-48 W for about 7 miles until you reach I-77 N. Merge onto I-77 N and continue for approximately 12 miles. Take exit 18 for SC-277 N toward Columbia. Continue on SC-277 N for about 2 miles, then take the exit toward US-1 N. Merge onto US-1 N and follow signs for downtown Columbia. Continue onto Gervais St, then turn left onto Laurel St. Columbia Canal and Riverfront Park will be on your right at 312 Laurel St, Columbia, SC 29201.

To reach Columbia Canal and Riverfront Park using public transportation from Congaree National Park, first, you must take a taxi or rideshare service (such as Uber or Lyft) to the nearest bus station in Columbia. Depending on traffic, this could cost between $20 to $30. Once at the bus station, take the COMET bus service route 26, which goes toward downtown Columbia. Disembark at the Gervais St & Laurel St stop. From there, walk north on Laurel St for about 0.3 miles, and you will arrive at Columbia Canal and Riverfront Park located at 312 Laurel St, Columbia, SC 29201.
