If you're traveling by car from any location in Sandhills, start by getting onto SC-48 E (also known as Two Notch Rd). Follow SC-48 E for approximately 15 miles until you reach the intersection with I-77 S. Merge onto I-77 S and continue for about 6 miles. Take exit 18 for SC-12 toward Columbia. After exiting, keep left at the fork to continue on SC-12 E. After about 2 miles, turn right onto Gervais St. Continue straight for about 1 mile, then turn left onto Assembly St. Columbia Historic District I will be on your right. Parking is available in nearby parking garages, which typically charge between $5-$10 for the day.

If you prefer public transportation, you can take the SC Rapid Transit bus service. From Sandhills, head to the nearest bus stop and catch the bus line that goes to downtown Columbia. Make sure to check the schedule as buses run on specific timings. The fare for a single ride is approximately $1.50. You will want to disembark at the stop nearest to Gervais St. From there, it is a short 10-minute walk to Columbia Historic District I. Head east on Gervais St, then turn left onto Assembly St where you will find the historic district.
