From downtown Fort Mill, walk to the nearest bus stop at the intersection of Main St and Tom Hall St. Board the CATS (Charlotte Area Transit System) bus route 47, which travels towards the Carowinds area. Stay on the bus for approximately 20-25 minutes. You will need to get off at the Carowinds Blvd stop. From there, follow the signs leading to Carowinds, which is just a short 10-minute walk down Carowinds Blvd.

If you're an adventurous cyclist, you can rent a bike from a local rental shop in Fort Mill. Start your journey from the Fort Mill Town Center and head south on Main St. Continue straight onto Carowinds Blvd, which leads directly to the park.
