Getting There

  • Bicycle

    Rent a bicycle from one of the local shops on Hilton Head Island. Once you have your bike, head towards the Cross Island Parkway and take the bike path towards the bridge leading off the island. Follow the path until you reach the end of the bridge. After crossing the bridge, you will be in Bluffton. Continue straight on US-278 until you reach the intersection with SC-170. Take a right onto SC-170 and follow the signs towards Savannah. Once you cross into Georgia, continue on I-16 and exit at Martin Luther King Jr Blvd. The Savannah Visitor Center will be on your left at 301 Martin Luther King Jr Blvd.

  • Public Transportation

    Take the Palmetto Breeze bus service from Hilton Head Island to Savannah. The nearest bus stop is located at the Shelter Cove Towne Centre. Board the bus that travels to the Savannah route. Enjoy the scenic ride, which typically takes about 1 hour. Once you arrive in Savannah, get off at the stop near the Savannah Visitor Center. From there, walk towards Martin Luther King Jr Blvd, and you will find the Visitor Center at 301 Martin Luther King Jr Blvd.
