If you are starting from Coligny Beach Park, head north on Ocean Drive and then take a left onto South Forest Beach Drive. Continue onto Pope Avenue, which will lead you towards the north. After a while, you will reach the intersection with Beach City Road. Turn right onto Beach City Road, and continue straight for about a mile. Historic Mitchelville Freedom Park will be on your right at 229 Beach City Rd.

Starting from the popular Shelter Cove Towne Centre, head east towards the Crossings Park. Walk through the park and exit onto Shelter Cove Lane. Turn left and walk along the waterfront until you reach the intersection with Pope Avenue. Turn right on Pope Avenue and continue until you reach Beach City Road. Turn left onto Beach City Road, and after about 0.5 miles, you will find Historic Mitchelville Freedom Park on your right at 229 Beach City Rd.
