Getting There

• Bus

  To reach Myrtle Beach State Park from central Myrtle Beach, start at the Myrtle Beach Boardwalk. Walk to the nearest bus stop located at 9th Avenue North or 8th Avenue North, depending on your location. Board the Coast RTA bus Route 15, which is headed south towards the south end of Myrtle Beach. Stay on the bus for about 30 minutes. You will pass the Market Common and continue south until you reach the stop at 'Myrtle Beach State Park'. The park entrance will be just a short walk from the bus stop.

• Bicycle

  If you prefer biking, rent a bicycle from one of the many rental shops along the Myrtle Beach Boardwalk. Head south on Ocean Boulevard, which turns into Kings Highway. Continue down Kings Highway for approximately 4 miles. Look for the signs for Myrtle Beach State Park on your right. There’s a designated bike rack to secure your bike at the park entrance.

• Walking

  If you are staying nearby and want to walk to Myrtle Beach State Park, head south along Kings Highway. Starting from the intersection of Kings Highway and 5th Avenue South, walk straight down Kings Highway for about 2.5 miles. You will pass several shops and restaurants. Keep an eye out for the park entrance on your left. The park is well marked with signs, and the walk is pleasant.

• Taxi/Ride-sharing

  For a more direct route, you can use a taxi or a ride-sharing service like Uber or Lyft. Open the app and set your destination to 'Myrtle Beach State Park, 4401 S Kings Hwy'. This option will provide a convenient door-to-door service. The ride typically takes about 10-15 minutes from central Myrtle Beach, depending on traffic.
