Getting There

• Public Transit (Bus)

  If you are starting from the North Charleston area, head to the nearest bus stop and catch the CARTA (Charleston Area Regional Transportation Authority) bus route 10 or 20 heading towards downtown Charleston. Make sure to check the schedule for the bus you plan to take. Once on the bus, stay on until you reach the stop at 'Meeting St / Broad St'. From there, exit the bus and walk south on Meeting Street for about 0.3 miles. The Nathaniel Russell House will be on your left at 51 Meeting St.

• Biking

  If you prefer biking, you can rent a bike from a local bike share program. Start by heading to the nearest bike share station to pick up your bike. From North Charleston, follow the bike paths towards downtown Charleston. A common route is to take East Montague Avenue west until you reach East Bay Street. Head south on East Bay Street until you reach Broad Street, then take a left onto Broad Street. Continue until you reach Meeting Street and turn right. The Nathaniel Russell House will be at 51 Meeting St, just a short ride from Broad Street.

• Walking

  If you are already in downtown North Charleston, you can take a leisurely walk to the Nathaniel Russell House. Start at the North Charleston City Market, located at 24 Market St. Walk south down Market Street until you reach East Bay Street. Turn right on East Bay and continue walking for about 1.5 miles. Then, turn left onto Broad Street and walk until you reach Meeting Street. Take a right onto Meeting Street, and the Nathaniel Russell House will be located at 51 Meeting St on your left.
