Walking
If you are in the downtown area of Mount Pleasant, start by heading east on Main Street towards the intersection with Broadway Street. Continue walking straight for about 10 minutes until you reach the bus stop at the Mount Pleasant City Hall. Here, you can catch the bus to Charleston, SC. After approximately 2 hours of travel, you will arrive in Charleston. From the bus station, walk south on King Street until you reach Meeting Street. Turn left onto Meeting Street and walk for about 5 minutes. The South Carolina Historical Society will be on your left at 100 Meeting St.

Rent a bicycle from one of the rental shops in Mount Pleasant. Start your ride heading towards the Mount Pleasant Memorial Waterfront Park. Follow the bike path along the waterfront until you reach the intersection with Coleman Blvd. Turn left and continue biking for about 3 miles until you reach the bus stop at the Mount Pleasant City Hall. Take the bus to Charleston, SC. Once you arrive, bike south on King Street, then turn left onto Meeting Street. The South Carolina Historical Society will be located at 100 Meeting St, about 5 minutes from King Street.

Once you arrive in Charleston, disembark at the main bus terminal. From there, walk south on King Street for about 15 minutes. When you reach the intersection with Meeting Street, turn left.
