If you're starting from downtown Summerville, walk to the nearest bus stop located at 100 E 2nd North St. Take the CARTA bus route 10 towards Charleston. Stay on the bus for approximately 30 minutes until you reach the stop at 'Sullivan's Island'. After getting off, walk east on Middle Street until you reach Ion Avenue. Turn left on Ion Avenue, and the Sullivan's Island Lighthouse will be on your right, at 1815 Ion Ave.

From downtown Summerville, rent a bicycle from a local bike shop. Head southeast on Main Street towards 4th North Street. Turn left onto 4th North St and follow it until you reach the intersection with US-17. Use the bike lane to head south on US-17, then take a right onto SC-703, which will take you toward Sullivan's Island. Continue straight until you reach the lighthouse at 1815 Ion Ave.

If you're nearby, you can walk to Sullivan's Island Lighthouse. Start from the center of Summerville, head towards Main Street and proceed south until you reach the intersection with US-17. Cross safely to the east side and follow the signs towards Sullivan's Island. Continue walking down SC-703 and take a left on Ion Avenue. The lighthouse will be at 1815 Ion Ave on your right.
