    If you're driving from Badlands National Park, take Highway 44 west towards Rapid City. After about 30 miles, merge onto I-90 South. Continue on I-90 for approximately 30 miles until you reach Exit 59 for US-18 towards Hot Springs. Follow US-18 for about 16 miles. The Mammoth Site will be on your left at 1800 US-18 BYP, Hot Springs, SD 57747. Look for the large sign for The Mammoth Site.

    There are limited public transportation options directly from Badlands to Hot Springs. You will need to travel to Rapid City first. Take a bus from Badlands to Rapid City. Once in Rapid City, take a Greyhound or Jefferson Lines bus to Hot Springs. Check the schedules in advance as they may vary. Once you arrive in Hot Springs, The Mammoth Site is about a 5-minute taxi ride from the bus station. Alternatively, you can walk if you prefer, as it is less than a mile away.
