If you're driving from Rapid City, take SD-44 W for about 20 miles. This will lead you directly to Custer State Park. Once you arrive at the park entrance, you can pay the entry fee and then follow the park's scenic routes to various attractions within the park.

From Custer, South Dakota, head north on US-16 for about 7 miles. Look for signs directing you to Custer State Park on your right. Follow the park road for another couple of miles until you reach the entrance.
