Car
From the center of Custer State Park, head south on SD-87, then take a right turn onto US-16A. Continue on US-16A for approximately 5 miles. The Lovers Leap Trailhead will be on your right. Look for the trailhead sign and parking area.
Public Transportation
There is limited public transportation within Custer State Park. If you are relying on public transportation, you would first need to take a bus or shuttle to Custer, SD. From Custer, you may need to arrange for a taxi or rideshare service to reach the Lovers Leap Trailhead on US-16A, as direct public transport options to the trailhead are not typically available.
Biking
If you are biking from the center of Custer State Park, head south on SD-87, then turn right onto US-16A. It's approximately a 5-mile ride to the Lovers Leap Trailhead. Keep in mind that the roads can have some elevation and traffic, so be prepared for a moderate challenge.
