Getting There

    From the center of Custer State Park, head north on SD-87/Custer State Park Road. Continue for approximately 5 miles until you reach the junction with US-385. Turn left onto US-385. After about 3 miles, you will see signs for the White Elephant Trailhead. The trailhead will be on your right. There is no fee for parking at the trailhead.

If there are no direct shuttles to the White Elephant Trailhead, you may need to take a local bus or taxi to the nearest point on US-385 and walk approximately 0.5 miles to the trailhead.
