Car

If you're driving from downtown Rapid City, head south on Main St toward E North St. Continue onto SD-44 W, and then take a left onto SD-79 S. After about 5 miles, take a right onto Cosmos Rd. The Cosmos Mystery Area will be on your left at 24040 Cosmos Rd.
Public Transportation

To reach the Cosmos Mystery Area by public transportation, you can take a bus from downtown Rapid City to the nearest stop. The Rapid City Public Transit operates routes that you can check for availability to the area. Once you arrive at the closest stop, it's about a 30-minute walk to Cosmos Rd. Head east on E St Joseph St, then turn left onto SD-44 W. Follow this road until you see Cosmos Rd on your left.
Car

From Mount Rushmore National Memorial, head north on SD-244 toward SD-16. Merge onto US-16 E and continue for about 15 miles. Then, turn right onto SD-79 N and follow it for about 5 miles. Take a left onto Cosmos Rd, and you will find the Cosmos Mystery Area on your left.
Car

If you're coming from Custer State Park, take SD-16A N to US-16 E. Merge onto US-16 E and continue for about 20 miles. Then, turn right onto SD-79 N. After approximately 5 miles, take a left onto Cosmos Rd. The destination will be on your left.
