If you're starting from downtown Custer, head north on 5th Street. After about three blocks, take a left onto Mt. Rushmore Road (US-16). Continue walking for about a mile until you reach the intersection with US Hwy 16A. Here, you'll see a sign for Custer State Park Resort. Cross the road carefully and continue walking straight for about half a mile. The resort will be on your right, at 13389 US Hwy 16A.

From the Custer City Park, head east on Crook Street until you reach 5th Street. Turn left on 5th Street and ride north until you reach Mt. Rushmore Road (US-16). Turn left on Mt. Rushmore Road and continue for about a mile. When you reach the intersection with US Hwy 16A, turn right. Continue on US Hwy 16A for about half a mile. The Custer State Park Resort will be on your right at 13389 US Hwy 16A.
