From the center of Custer, head south on N 5th St toward the intersection with SD-34. Continue straight for about 0.5 miles until you reach the intersection with SD-87. Turn right onto SD-87, which is also known as Custer State Park Road. Walk along this road for approximately 1.5 miles, enjoying the scenic views of the surrounding hills and nature. Keep an eye out for Southern Hills - Custer on your left side; it is located at approximately 43.7655° N latitude and -103.6021° W longitude.
Biking
If you have access to a bicycle, you can follow the same route as walking. Start from the center of Custer and head south on N 5th St. Continue straight until you reach SD-87.
