    Start at the Custer County Courthouse located at 420 Mount Rushmore Road. From there, head north on Mount Rushmore Road for about 0.5 miles until you reach the intersection with SD-244. Turn left onto SD-244 and continue walking for approximately 5 miles. You will see signs for Mount Rushmore on your way. Once you arrive, the Mount Rushmore Profile View will be on your left.     Begin your journey at the Custer State Park Visitor Center located at 13400 Highway 16A. From the Visitor Center, head north on Highway 16A and take a right onto SD-244.
