Walking
From the center of Deadwood, start at the intersection of Main St and Sherman St. Head north on Sherman St until you reach the Deadwood Trolley stop. Take the Deadwood Trolley heading towards Lead. The trolley will take you along Highway 85. After about 20 minutes, get off at the Roughlock Falls stop. From the trolley stop, follow the signs to Roughlock Falls which is a short walk along Roughlock Falls Rd.
Biking
If you have a bicycle, you can ride from Deadwood to Roughlock Falls. Start at the intersection of Main St and Sherman St, heading north on Sherman St. Follow the bike path that leads towards Lead. After about 3 miles, you will see signs for Roughlock Falls. Follow the signs onto Roughlock Falls Rd, and continue for about half a mile until you reach the falls.
Hiking
For the adventurous, you can hike from Deadwood to Roughlock Falls. Begin at the Deadwood Chamber of Commerce on Sherman St. Head north and follow the trail that leads towards Lead. This trail will take you through the scenic Black Hills and is roughly 3 miles long. Once you reach Roughlock Falls Rd, follow the road until you see the entrance to Roughlock Falls.
