Walking
From the Mount Rushmore National Memorial, exit the park and head east on SD-244. Continue on this road until you reach the intersection with US-16. Turn left onto US-16 and follow it into the town of Rapid City. Once you enter Rapid City, continue straight until you reach St Joseph St. Turn right onto St Joseph St, and the Suzie Cappa Art Center will be located at 722 St Joseph St on your right. The walk will take approximately 1 hour and is about 4 miles long.

From Mount Rushmore, walk to the nearest bus stop on SD-244. Take the Black Hills Transit bus service that heads towards Rapid City. You will need to get off at the stop labeled 'Downtown Rapid City'. From there, walk north on 7th St until you reach St Joseph St. Turn left onto St Joseph St, and the Suzie Cappa Art Center will be at 722 St Joseph St on your right. Check the Black Hills Transit schedule for bus times as they may vary.
