    From the Mount Rushmore National Memorial, start by walking back to the visitor center area. Head east on SD-244, following the signs back to the main road. Once you reach the junction with US-16, turn left onto US-16. Continue until you reach the town of Keystone, where you can catch the public bus service to Rapid City. The bus will take you directly to Rapid City, where you can disembark at the downtown area. From the bus stop, walk approximately 0.5 miles to the Dahl Arts Center located at 713 7th St. Follow 7th St until you reach the center, which is located on your right.

  • Public Transport (Bus)

    Take the bus service from the Mount Rushmore area to Rapid City. Check the local bus schedule for times. Once you arrive in Rapid City, get off at the stop closest to downtown. Walk south on 7th St for about 0.5 miles to reach the Dahl Arts Center at 713 7th St. The center will be on your right-hand side after you pass by Main St.

  • Biking

    If you prefer to bike, rent a bike from one of the local rental shops in Mount Rushmore. Start your ride on SD-244 heading east until you reach US-16. Turn left on US-16 and continue biking southeast. After a few miles, you will enter Rapid City. Keep biking towards downtown, following signs for 7th St. Once you reach 7th St, continue until you arrive at the Dahl Arts Center located at 713 7th St.
