Walking
If you are in downtown Pierre, start at the South Dakota State Capitol building, located at 500 E Capitol Ave. Head west on E Capitol Ave toward N Pierre St. Continue walking for about 0.5 miles until you reach the intersection with S Dakota Ave. Turn left onto S Dakota Ave and continue south for about 0.3 miles. Then, turn right onto Parkwood Dr. Griffin Park will be located on your left after a short walk.
Biking
From the center of Pierre, you can rent a bike at one of the local bike-sharing stations. Start at the Pierre Recreation Center on 800 W Dakota Ave. Head south on Dakota Ave until you reach the intersection with E Capitol Ave. Turn right onto E Capitol Ave and continue west for about 0.5 miles. Turn left onto S Dakota Ave and bike for another 0.3 miles. Finally, turn right onto Parkwood Dr. Griffin Park will be on your left. Enjoy the ride through the park's scenic areas.
Public Transport
If you prefer to use public transportation, catch the Pierre City Transit bus, which has a stop near the South Dakota State Capitol building. Take the bus that heads towards Parkwood Dr. Inform the driver you want to get off at the Parkwood Dr stop. From there, walk a short distance to Griffin Park, which will be located nearby.
