    To reach Custer State Park from Pine Ridge by car, start by heading west on SD-18 W. Continue on SD-18 W for approximately 24 miles until you reach the junction with US-385 S. Take a left onto US-385 S and follow it for about 22 miles. You will then see the entrance to Custer State Park on your right. Please note that there is a vehicle entrance fee of $20 for a single vehicle, which is valid for up to 7 days.

    Public transportation options are limited in this rural area. However, you can take a bus service from Pine Ridge to Rapid City. Once in Rapid City, you will need to rent a car or use a taxi service to reach Custer State Park, which is approximately 40 miles to the south of Rapid City.
