From the Buk-gu area, head towards Haseo-ro. Depending on your location in Buk-gu, you can use local landmarks such as the Buk-gu Office or the Gwangju Subway Station as reference points. Walk towards Haseo-ro, and keep an eye on street signs. The museum is located at 52 Haseo-ro, which is approximately a 10-15 minute walk from the center of Buk-gu.

If you prefer public transportation, locate the nearest bus stop in Buk-gu. Take bus number 10 or 18, which both have routes that stop near the Gwangju Museum of Art. The fare is approximately 1,200 KRW. Once you board, stay on the bus for about 5-10 minutes and request to be dropped off at the 'Gwangju Museum of Art' stop. The museum should be within a short walking distance from the bus stop.

Subway
For those near the Gwangju Subway Station, take Line 1 towards the 'Gwangju Songjeong' station. Get off at the 'Wolgok' station (3 stops). Transfer to bus number 10 or 18 from the Wolgok station bus stop, and ride for about 5 minutes until you reach the 'Gwangju Museum of Art' stop. The combined subway and bus fare is approximately 1,500 KRW.
