If you're traveling by car, start by getting onto the Gyeongbu Expressway (Expressway 1). Follow the signs for Seoul. Once you reach the city, take the exit toward Jongno District. Continue straight until you reach Jong-ro Street. Jongmyo Shrine is located at 157 Jong-ro, Jongno District, Seoul. There is limited parking available near the shrine, so be prepared to find street parking or use a nearby parking garage, which may incur fees.

Public Transportation - Subway
To reach Jongmyo Shrine by subway, locate the nearest subway station. Take the Seoul Subway Line 1 or Line 3 and head towards Jongno 3-ga Station. Upon arrival, use Exit 11 and walk straight until you reach Jong-ro Street. Turn left and continue walking for about 10 minutes until you arrive at Jongmyo Shrine. Make sure to check the subway schedule for any changes in operation hours. The cost for a one-way ticket is approximately 1,250 KRW.

Public Transportation - Bus
If you prefer taking the bus, find the nearest bus stop and look for buses that go to Jongno District. Routes such as 101, 104, 150, and 262 will get you close to Jongmyo Shrine. Get off at the 'Jongmyo' bus stop. From there, it’s a short walk to the shrine. The bus fare is about 1,200 KRW. Be sure to have cash or a transportation card for the fare.
