Public Bus
From Gyeongju city center, head to the Gyeongju Bus Terminal located at 168-10, Hwango-dong. Take bus number 100 or 101, which are both headed towards Yangsan. The ride will take approximately 40 minutes. Get off at the Tongdosa Temple stop (Tongdosa), which is the last stop on the route. From there, it's a short 5-minute walk to the temple entrance.

Taxi
If you prefer a more direct route, you can take a taxi from anywhere in Gyeongju. Simply tell the driver 'Tongdosa Temple' or show them the address: 108 Tongdosa-ro, Habuk-myeon, Yangsan-si. The taxi ride will take around 30 minutes, depending on traffic. Make sure to have cash handy, as not all taxis may accept credit cards.

Bicycle Rental
For the adventurous, consider renting a bicycle from one of the rental shops in Gyeongju. Head out of the city center towards the southeast, following the signs to Yangsan. The distance is roughly 20 km and will take about 1.5 hours. Once you reach Tongdosa Temple, lock your bike in the designated area. Remember to stay on designated bike paths where available.

If you are staying nearby and enjoy walking, you can make your way to Tongdosa Temple on foot. Start from Gyeongju city center and head southeast towards Yangsan. Follow Tongdosa-ro, which will lead you directly to the temple. The walk is about 9 km and will take approximately 2 hours. Make sure to wear comfortable shoes and stay hydrated!
