Getting There

• Car

From major cities in the Hoseo region, such as Daejeon or Cheonan, you can take the Gyeongbu Expressway (Expressway 1) towards Gyeongju. Expect to pay a toll of approximately KRW 5,000-10,000 depending on your starting point. Once in Gyeongju, follow local signage to Cheomseongdae Observatory, which is well-marked.

• Public Transportation - Bus

  To reach Cheomseongdae Observatory via public transportation, take a bus from your location in the Hoseo region to Gyeongju. Buses frequently depart from major cities like Daejeon and Cheonan. The fare is typically around KRW 10,000-15,000 depending on the distance and the bus service. Once you arrive at the Gyeongju bus terminal, transfer to a local bus (Bus No. 10 or 12) heading towards Cheomseongdae. The local bus fare is approximately KRW 1,200. Get off at the Cheomseongdae Observatory stop, and you will find the observatory within walking distance.
