Getting There

  • Subway

    To reach Achasan, take Line 5 (the purple line) from any station in Seoul. If you are starting from Myeongdong, board the subway at Myeongdong Station and travel towards Sangil-dong Station. Transfer to Line 7 at the Dongdaemun History & Culture Park Station, then travel to Cheongnyangni Station. At Cheongnyangni, transfer to Line 1 (the dark blue line) towards Suwon. Get off at Achasan Station. From Achasan Station, take Exit 2 and walk straight for about 500 meters until you reach the entrance to Achasan Park.

  • Bus

    If you prefer to take the bus, find the nearest bus stop and board Bus 2413 or Bus 2016. If you’re in the central area like Myeongdong, you can take Bus 402 to Achasan Park. Make sure to check the bus schedules as they can vary. After approximately 30-40 minutes, get off at the Achasan Park bus stop. From there, it’s just a short walk to the entrance of Achasan.

  • Walking

    If you are near the eastern part of Seoul, you can also walk to Achasan. For instance, if you are in the vicinity of Gwangjin-gu, head towards the Achasan area by walking down Achasan-ro road. The hike to the peak itself can be a bit steep, so wear comfortable shoes and bring water. The park is well-marked with signs indicating the trails.
