Getting There

  • Subway

    If you are near a subway station, take Line 3 (the Orange Line) and head towards the 'Daehwa' direction. Get off at 'Gyeongbokgung Station' (역번호: 313). Use Exit 2 to exit the station. Once you are out, head straight towards the Gyeongbokgung Palace. Walk past the palace and continue straight until you reach the intersection with 'Sejong-daero'. From there, turn left onto 'Sejong-daero' and walk until you reach the 'Seongbuk-ro' intersection. Turn right onto 'Seongbuk-ro', and continue walking until you see the signs for Inwangsan Mountain. The trailhead will be on your left side.

  • Bus

    If you prefer to take a bus, find the nearest bus stop and look for bus numbers 7016 or 1020. Board the bus and ride until you reach the 'Gyeongbokgung Palace' stop (경복궁). Once you get off, walk towards Gyeongbokgung Palace, passing it on your right. Continue straight along 'Sejong-daero' until you reach the 'Seongbuk-ro' intersection. Turn right onto 'Seongbuk-ro', and keep walking until you see the signs for Inwangsan Mountain. The entrance to the mountain trail will be on your left.

    If you are already in the Jongno District, you can walk to Inwangsan Mountain. Start from Gyeongbokgung Palace and head north along 'Seongbuk-ro'. Follow the signs for Inwangsan Mountain. It is about a 20-30 minute walk, and you will enjoy the scenic views along the way. Look for the trailhead entrance on your left.
