Getting There

• Car

  If you are driving from Oviedo, take the A-66 highway towards Gijón. After approximately 17 km, take the exit towards N-634. Continue on N-634 for about 40 km, passing through the towns of Grado and Pravia. After Pravia, you will come to a roundabout; take the 2nd exit to stay on N-634. Follow the signs towards Cangas del Narcea. After passing through Cangas, continue for about 20 km until you reach the junction for AS-213. Turn left onto AS-213, following signs for Puerto de San Lorenzo. Continue on AS-213 for approximately 15 km until you reach Puerto de San Lorenzo (1347 m). Parking is available at the summit, but check for any local parking fees.

• Public Transportation

  To reach Puerto de San Lorenzo using public transport, first, take a bus from Oviedo to Cangas del Narcea. ALSA operates regular services, and the journey takes about 1.5 to 2 hours. Once in Cangas del Narcea, you will need to take a taxi to Puerto de San Lorenzo, as public transport options are limited in this area. The taxi ride will take around 20-30 minutes and will cost approximately €30-€40, depending on the taxi service. Be sure to check the bus timetables for your return journey as services may be limited in the evening.

• Bicycle

  For the adventurous, consider cycling to Puerto de San Lorenzo. From Oviedo, follow the same route as for cars, but take extra precautions as the roads can be winding and steep. The total distance from Oviedo is approximately 60 km, and it may take around 4-6 hours depending on your cycling speed and the terrain. Ensure you are well-prepared with water, snacks, and a bike repair kit. There is limited support along the way, so plan accordingly.
