Car
To reach Illa de Formentor by car, start from Palma, the capital of the Balearic Islands. Take the Ma-20 highway towards the north. After approximately 30 kilometers, merge onto the Ma-13 road towards Alcúdia. Continue on Ma-13 for about 15 kilometers until reaching the roundabout at Alcúdia. Take the second exit onto Ma-12 towards Formentor. Follow this road for around 25 kilometers, which will lead you through scenic views of the mountains and coastline. Pay attention to signs directing you to Formentor. There is a parking area available at the end of the road; however, note that there may be a parking fee depending on the season. Once parked, you can walk to various viewpoints and beaches on the island.

If you prefer public transport, start from Palma and take the Bus Line 1 (L1) from the city center to the Intermodal Station. From there, transfer to Bus Line 3 (L3) that goes directly to Port de Pollença. Once at Port de Pollença, you can catch the Formentor Bus, which operates during the summer months. This bus will take you directly to the Formentor Peninsula, stopping at various points of interest. Be sure to check the schedule in advance, as it may have limited hours, especially in off-peak seasons. The fare for the bus from Palma to Port de Pollença is approximately €5-€7, and the Formentor Bus may have an additional charge.
