Train
If you are starting from central Barcelona, make your way to the Plaça de Catalunya station. From there, take the R5 train towards Manresa. Once on the train, enjoy the scenic ride which will take approximately 1 hour. Get off at the Monistrol de Montserrat station. After exiting the station, follow the signs for the Funicular Aeri de Montserrat, which is about a 10-minute walk. You will need to walk down the main road to reach the C-55, where the funicular is located.

Head to the Estació del Nord bus station in Barcelona. Look for the bus company called 'Autocars de Montserrat' which offers direct services to Monistrol de Montserrat. The bus ride takes about 1.5 hours. Once you arrive at the Monistrol de Montserrat bus station, follow the signs to the Funicular Aeri de Montserrat, which is just a short walk away along the C-55 road.

Start at any metro station in Barcelona and take Line 3 (Green Line) towards Canyelles. Get off at the Paral·lel station and transfer to the Funicular de Montjuïc. Ride the funicular until you reach the end of the line and exit. From there, walk to the nearby Poble Sec metro station and take Line 3 back to Plaça de Catalunya. From Plaça de Catalunya, follow the Train option to get to Monistrol de Montserrat as described above.
