Train
From the center of Barcelona, head to the nearest train station, either 'Plaça de Catalunya' or 'Arc de Triomf'. Purchase a ticket to 'Montgat' on the RENFE train line. The journey takes approximately 25 minutes. Once you arrive at Montgat station, exit the station and turn left, heading towards the beach. Follow the signs leading to 'Playa de Montgat Norte', which is about a 10-minute walk from the station.

Take the L4 metro line (Yellow line) from any central station, such as 'Passeig de Gràcia' or 'Jaume I', towards 'La Pau'. Change at 'La Pau' station to the L2 metro line (Purple line) heading towards 'Badalona Pompeu Fabra'. Get off at 'Badalona' station and then transfer to the RENFE train line towards 'Mataró'. Alight at 'Montgat' station. From there, walk towards the beach in approximately 10 minutes.

Catch the bus number 'M27' from any central location in Barcelona, for example, from 'Plaça de Catalunya'. The bus will take you directly to Montgat. The journey may take around 40-50 minutes depending on traffic. Once you arrive at the Montgat stop, walk towards the beach which is only a couple of minutes away.

Bicycle
If you prefer cycling, you can rent a bike from one of the many bike rental stations around Barcelona. Head northeast along the coastal path following the signs toward 'Badalona'. The route is scenic and will take you to Montgat in about 50 minutes. Upon arrival in Montgat, follow the signs to Playa de Montgat Norte.
