Train
From Barcelona, head to the Plaça de Catalunya station. Purchase a ticket for the R5 line towards Manresa. Get on the train and enjoy the scenic ride. After approximately 1 hour, disembark at the 'Monistrol de Montserrat' station. From there, follow the signs to the cable car station (Aeri de Montserrat). Take the cable car up to Montserrat. Once you reach the top, follow the signs leading to the Santa Cova de Montserrat, which is about a 20-minute walk along a well-marked path.

Train and Funicular
Start at Plaça de Catalunya and take the R5 train to 'Monistrol de Montserrat'. Upon arrival, exit the train station and look for the 'Funicular de Sant Joan'. Buy a ticket and take the funicular, which will take you higher up the mountain. Once you exit the funicular, continue walking, following the signs to Santa Cova de Montserrat. The walk is around 15-20 minutes and offers beautiful views.

Take the FGC train from Plaça de Catalunya to the 'Monistrol de Montserrat' station. From the train station, catch the bus that goes directly to Montserrat Monastery. The bus ride takes about 15-20 minutes.
