From Bilbao, take the A-8 motorway towards San Sebastián. After about 50 km, take exit 24 towards N-634. Follow N-634 for approximately 30 km until you reach Oñati. Once in Oñati, follow signs for 'Cuevas Arrikrutz' which will lead you to the parking area near the caves. There is a small parking fee, approximately €3 for the day.

Public Transportation
From Bilbao, take the train from Bilbao Abando station to the Oñati train station. The journey takes about 1 hour and 15 minutes. Once you arrive at Oñati train station, you can take a local taxi to Cuevas Arrikrutz, which is about a 10-minute drive away. Taxi fare should be around €10. Alternatively, check local bus services that may drop off closer to the caves.

If you are already in Oñati, you can walk to the caves. From the town center, head towards the 'Cuevas Arrikrutz' signage. The walk is approximately 3.5 km and will take about 45 minutes. The path is scenic but be prepared for some uphill sections.
