Getting There

• Metro

  If you are near the city center, take Line 1 (the Biscay line) of the Metro Bilbao. Board the train heading towards 'Etxebarri' and travel for 3 stops until you reach 'Casco Viejo'. Once you exit the train, follow the signs to 'Salida' (Exit) and you will find yourself in the heart of Casco Viejo.

• Bus

  Locate a nearby bus stop and catch a Bizkaibus (the local bus service). Look for lines A3247 or A3211, which both stop at 'Casco Viejo'. The journey will take approximately 15-20 minutes depending on traffic. Once you arrive, the bus stop is conveniently located near the main square, making it easy to explore the area.

• Walking

  If you are already in the central part of Bilbao, you can easily walk to Casco Viejo. Head south towards the river (Ría de Bilbao) and walk along the riverfront. You’ll pass the famous Zubizuri Bridge. Continue walking until you reach the 'Casco Viejo' area, which is characterized by its narrow streets and vibrant atmosphere. It should take you around 20-30 minutes to walk there.

• Taxi

  If you prefer a more direct route, you can hail a taxi. Simply find a taxi stand or use a ride-hailing app. Tell the driver you want to go to 'Casco Viejo'. The ride will take about 10-15 minutes from the city center, depending on traffic.
