From there, exit the station and head north on Calle Basozelai until you reach the main road. Turn right onto the BI-623 road and follow the signs for Atxondo. Continue walking for about 30 minutes, enjoying the scenery as you approach Atxondo.

From Plaza Moyúa in Bilbao, head towards the nearby bus station (Termibus). Look for the bus service headed to 'Durango'. Once on board, enjoy the scenic route, and disembark at the Durango bus station. From Durango, you can take a local bus (Bus Line A) towards Atxondo. Get off at the 'Atxondo' stop, which is close to the starting point of Ruta Verde Atxondo.

If you're up for a healthy walk, you can walk from the center of Bilbao to Ruta Verde Atxondo. Start at the Plaza de Federico Moyúa and head southeast on Gran Vía. Continue straight until you reach the roundabout at the intersection with the N-634. Cross the road and head towards the BI-623. Follow the BI-623 road for approximately 6 km, which will take you directly to the entrance of Ruta Verde Atxondo. It may take around 1.5 to 2 hours, so wear comfortable shoes.
