From the center of Bilbao, head to the nearest metro station, which is usually Abando. Take Line 1 (the green line) towards Etxebarri. After about 10 stops, disembark at Areeta station. Once you exit the station, you will see signs directing you to Puente de Vizcaya. Walk approximately 10 minutes towards the bridge, and you will arrive at Vizcaya Bridge.

From Bilbao city center, find a bus stop for Bizkaibus. Take the A-3518 bus towards Getxo. The journey takes about 30 minutes. Get off at the stop named 'Puente Colgante' or 'Getxo'. From the bus stop, it’s a short walk (approximately 5 minutes) to reach Vizcaya Bridge.

If you are near the waterfront in Bilbao, you can enjoy a scenic walk towards Getxo. Start at the Ría de Bilbao and follow the riverbank for about 6 kilometers. This will lead you directly to the Vizcaya Bridge area. It will take you about 1 hour and 15 minutes to walk, but the views along the way are beautiful.
