Getting There

  • Car

    If you are traveling by car, start your journey from Santiago de Compostela and head southeast on the AP-9 motorway. Continue until you reach the A-6 motorway toward Madrid. After approximately 500 km, take exit 38 toward Manzanares El Real. Follow the signs for Manzanares El Real, and once you reach the town, follow the signs to La Pedriza. The address is Carr. de La Pedriza, s/n, 28410 Manzanares el Real, Madrid. Parking is available near the visitor center.

  • Public Transportation

    To reach La Pedriza using public transportation, first take a train from Santiago de Compostela to Madrid. You can catch a train from the Santiago de Compostela train station to Madrid Chamartín, which takes about 6 to 8 hours depending on the service. Once in Madrid, take the suburban train (Cercanías) Line C-3 from Chamartín station to the Manzanares El Real station. From there, you can take a local bus (Line 724) or a taxi to La Pedriza. The bus fare is around €1.50, and it operates only at certain times, so check the schedule in advance.
